Imagine with me, being between the ages of 10-15 years old, living in a house full of 50-60 other children, practically siblings, with little-to-no supervision. You are stuck in this place, either that or homelessness. Now, if you have ever had siblings, older or younger, you can imagine how mean other children can be when there are no parents to get in trouble with. This is where the problem lays, the younger or smaller children tend to be beaten and abused by older trouble making children. This can happen for a variety of reasons, either the children come from abusive backgrounds, they are just angry and bitter, they have no outlet and no one to be accountable to. When we conduct Bible studies with children, many of them, are too scared to participate because of the potential repercussions after we leave. They are at the will of older angry children that make them  do their bidding, act a certain way, in a lot of ways it is similar to a ‘gang’ mentality. Why am I telling you all of this? Because, this Faith List exists for that reason. The ability to remove the younger or weaker children and the youths, that show even some interest in knowing Jesus, would dramatically help in their spiritual development. It would give them a place to be free to ask questions, be freely mentored and receive healing that only comes from being out in the woods, fishing, hiking, camping and especially having the ability to go to church on a regular basis. We would love to have the ability to run exercise programs, teach Judo, Boxing and other disciplines that would give children confidence. Truth is we can’t make this happen on our own, but with God all things are possible! This list is not complete by any means, however, if you can imagine it already costs more than we have. Van – Having the ability to transport the children is of the utmost importance. A good van will cost us upwards of $8,000. In order to bring the kids to church, to outings, outdoor activities, this is a high priority for our mission with the kids. Exercise programs- is so important for these youths. It gives them more focus, teaches them to be goal oriented, it gives them a sense of accomplishment and confidence and they become less prone to bullying. We need exercise mats, equipment, boxing bags, and gloves for these activities. Boxing Exercise classes Judo *Doru is a black-belt in Judo. This is a very popular discipline here in Romania. Outdoor activities- Having the ability to go outside, explore, see nature, all while focusing on God and prayer away from the city noise, it doesn’t get much better! The kids would benefit from quiet time without the distraction of their peers. *Any of these places are at least a 2 hour drive and would require that we have a van, extra funds for transportation related expenses and food expenses for the kids. Camping Fishing Hiking Entertainment- We like to hold a weekly movie night, where we talk about the Christian worldview, eat popcorn, and drink soda. We also supply the children with a coffee bar in the mornings with their devotions, crafts and art supplies. The kids really enjoy this, but we have to keep the movies fresh and the snacks coming. We have been wanting to start giving the children practical skills they can take into the real world, this would include canning food, electronic work and possibly mechanic work. Personal needs- We also will need to buy some furniture in a few months. Our expanding family is leaving us with no more room, we need to expand and give our children some basic items. The approximate costs for this would be around $4,000 for all 2 beds, 2 mattresses (500), 2 dressers, and bedding. If you would like to donate specifically for us to purchase these items, please follow the link you see below. Your gift will be handled with complete integrity through the 501(c)(3) organization Saving Grace World Mission . Please make sure the Account Information section reads “Pavel, Doru and Natasha” and you can mark in the “Comments” section to what specifically you are donating.
